Account Deletion

This page explains how MD.ify users can delete account data and what happens to local documents.
Delete Your Account in the App
- Open MD.ify and go to Settings.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete, if you are not already signed in.
- Tap Delete Account in the Account section or Account Deletion in the Privacy section.
- Confirm Delete Account to permanently delete your MD.ify account data.
MD.ify account deletion is self-service in the app and does not require contacting support.
What Is Deleted
- Your MD.ify account profile records associated with the signed-in account.
- Server-side purchase snapshot records that are no longer required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, dispute, or app store obligations.
- Support records where deletion is appropriate and legally permitted.
What Is Not Deleted Automatically
- Markdown files stored locally on your device. Remove them from the app or delete app data from the device if you want to remove local copies.
- Purchase records maintained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or other app store/payment providers under their own policies.
- Limited records retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or backup recovery.
Timing
Account deletion starts immediately after you confirm deletion in the app. Some backup or provider records may take additional time to expire in the ordinary course of system maintenance.
