Account Deletion

Veil lets members request account deletion directly inside the app. This page explains how to do that and what happens next.

Delete Your Account In The App

Open Veil and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile.
Tap Delete Account.
Enter a reason for leaving.
Confirm the deletion request.

What Is Deleted

Your Veil profile is marked deleted and removed from active member discovery.
Your followers, following relationships, follow requests, and private suggestions are deleted.
Your private library-only activity, including items without a public review, is deleted.

What May Remain

Public reviews, comments, and reactions may remain visible inside Veil.
Any retained public contribution is anonymized and shown as Deleted user.
Limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup recovery.

Timing

Deletion is initiated immediately after confirmation in the app. Residual backup or infrastructure records may take additional time to expire in the ordinary course of system maintenance.
